'If a picture paints a thousand words,
then why canít I paint you?
The words would never show,
the you Iíve come to know . . .'

If, David Gates

Ah Claude Monet, Camille Pissaro, Alfred Sisley...where are you now? You have had your time on this planet, but your gentle muted tones remain for Sam to wallow in...soak himself in. How I wish you had met him! What a difference he would have made to your work! Forget your waterlilies, your poplars, your haystacks and tree lined boulevards...imagine a bichon frise series...picture it...Sam in the morning light, the mid morning, sunset...I can almost see his white coat painted in the magical colours of the sky and sun.
